Article of the Week

“Achievement must be made against the possibility of failure, against the risk of defeat. There is no other way.” – Ray Kroc

Ray Kroc made $35 a week selling paper cups. At night, he played piano to help pay the bills.

It wasn’t glamorous work. Kroc didn’t see it that way. He believed responsibility created opportunity.

Work wasn’t the enemy. It was the engine.

People called him a dreamer. They were right. But they missed the other half. Kroc was also a doer. He worked wherever he could.

For Kroc, work and life were the same thing.

That mindset later built McDonald’s.

The lesson from Grinding It Out is simple: responsibility creates opportunity and work drives growth.

Book of the Week

In Japan, ikigai means a reason for living. Finding it leads to a happier, healthier life.

Ikigai sits at the intersection of what you love, what you’re good at, what you’re paid for, and what the world needs.

It’s the reason you get up in the morning. Many Japanese never truly retire. They stay active and keep working on what they enjoy.
