A bifacial solar panel can produce electrical energy from sunlight on either of its surfaces, front or rear.
Imagine a sunflower with petals that face upwards, soaking up the sunlight from above.
But it also has petals that face downwards, catching any stray light that reflects off the ground.
Bifacial solar panels work similarly with solar cells on both the front and the back.
The front side of the bifacial panel captures the direct sunlight, just like the upward-facing petals of the sunflower.
The backside of the bifacial panel can also capture any sunlight that reflects off the ground, similar to the downward-facing petals of the sunflower.
This allows bifacial solar panels to generate more electricity than traditional, mono-facial panels, because they’re able to harvest light from both the top and the bottom.
Book I Read
Jesus: A Biography from a Believer by Paul Johnson (one of my favorite authors!), shares the influence Jesus had on the world. Johnson’s concise biographies, including this one, capture the message and historical significance of Jesus. Jesus: A Biography from a Believer gives you a vivid account of what life and Jesus were like. Few figures have had such an influence on the world as Jesus of Nazareth. Johnson once again tells a fantastic story in this book.
