amauryguichon is “The Chocolate Guy” on Instagram who builds incredible art out of you guessed it, chocolate. My sister sent this account to me recently has delivered. Well done Amaury.
New Music I Listened To
Abderraouf Ouertani (YouTube, Spotify) was recommended in a recent 5-Bullet Friday newsletter. I find Ouertani’s tunes perfect for writing in the morning.
TV Show I’m Watching
The Bear cleaned up at this year’s Emmys. The plot revolves around a young chef from the fine-dining world taking over his recently deceased Chicago sandwich shop. Carmy, the chef, and his rag-tag team attempt to turn around the sandwich shop. This show is hilarious, dark, and sad all mixed into one.
King Cake of the Week
Manny Randazzo King Cakes is my favorite king cake in New Orleans. Manny, a second-generation baker learned baking from his family recipes and his father, Manuel. There’s so much to love about this king cake – it has the perfect dough, just enough cinnamon, and not too much icing.
