Marriott Bonvoy Bold Card Details
Marriott Bonvoy Bold earns 60,000 Bonus Points after you spend $2,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. The card has no annual fee.
Chase has two restrictions regarding the card itself and the signup bonus points. Concerning being approved for the card, you are not eligible for this card if you’re 1) a current Marriott Bonvoy Premier (Marriott Rewards Premier), Marriott Bonvoy Boundless (Marriott Rewards Premier Plus), Marriott Bonvoy Bold cardmember, or 2) a previous Marriott Bonvoy Premier (Marriott Rewards Premier), Marriott Bonvoy Boundless (Marriott Rewards Premier Plus), or Marriott Bonvoy Bold cardmember who received a signup bonus in the last 24 months.
In terms of sign-up bonus eligibility, you are not eligible for the signup bonus if you’re 1) a current cardmember or were a cardmember member in the last 30 days of the Marriott Bonvoy AmEx (AmEx SPG), 2) a current or previous cardmember who received signup or upgrade bonus in the last 24 months on the Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express (Starwood Preferred Guest Business) or Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant (SPG Luxury Card), or 3) were approved for the Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express (Starwood Preferred Guest Business) or Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant (SPG Luxury Card) in the last 90 days.
Marriott Bonvoy Bold Credits
For those of you interested in Marriott elite status, the Marriott Bonvoy Bold comes with 15 elite night credits. These credits count towards your Marriott elite status, 15 of which qualify you for Silver Elite status. Check out this article to learn more about the credits.

Marriott Bonvoy Bold Credit Card Perks
Among the perks offered by the Marriott Bonvoy Bold, Baggage Delay Insurance, Lost Luggage Reimbursement, and Trip Delay Reimbursement stand out to me. Find more info about the perks here.
When your bags are delayed at least six hours, baggage delay insurance covers up to $100 per day in essential purchases Chase caps the total day reimbursement at five days.
Lost luggage reimbursement covers cardmembers up to $3,000 per passenger for carry-on luggage that is damaged or lost by your travel carrier. You must use your card to obtain this reimbursement.
Trip delay reimbursement kicks in when you are delayed by more than 12 hours. Qualifying expenses, like hotels and meals, are reimbursed as long as you use your card.
How to Earn Points with the Marriott Bonvoy Bold
You earn 3x points at Marriott and 2x points on travel with the Marriott Bonvoy Bold. For comparison, the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless earns 6x points at Marriott and 2x points on all other purchases.
In terms of the best cards to use at hotels, consider using the AmEx Green, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Citi Premier Card, Citi Prestige, and Ink Business Preferred for your hotel purchases.
How to Redeem Points with the Marriott Bonvoy Bold
Marriott has eight hotel categories that range from category one to category eight. Within each category, there are off-peak, standard, and peak pricing ranging from 5,000 to 100,000 points per night.
In addition, Marriott has Points Savers and Cash+Points. Points Savers lets you save up to 20% per night. Separately, Cash+Points allows you to mix cash with points for your hotel stay.
What Cards Compete with the Marriott Bonvoy Bold Credit Card?
The Hilton Honors Card is the primary competitor to the Marriott Bonvoy Bold. You earn 7x points on Hilton purchases and 5x points on groceries, dining, and gas with the Hilton Honors Card.
