Starwood Preferred Guest 50 Nights Benefits

Starwood Preferred Guest

Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG), loyalty program of Starwood Hotels, is one of the most rewarding programs within the world of points and miles for a couple of reasons.  One, the program partners with 30+ airlines.  Two, when you transfer 20,000 SPG points, you’ll receive a 5,000-mile bonus.

The program has three membership tiers: Preferred Guest, Gold Preferred Guest, and Platinum Preferred Guest.  Platinum Preferred Guest has multiple tiers that are awarded after completing 50 eligible nights in a calendar year.  I’ll start with the base membership level Preferred Guest and work through each level.

Conclusion

I’ve utilized the SPG program over the past couple of years to book hotels like the Westin Grand Berlin and the Westin Puntacana.  Maximizing your points by transferring them to SPG’s airline partners is how I would now use Starpoints.

Have you used the additional benefits of the SPG program?  If yes, please let me know in the comments or by sending me an email pointswithq@gmail.com.
