Video of the Week

After wrapping up our time in Prague (see Prague Day OnePrague Day TwoPrague Day Three), we headed to London to close our four-week European trip.

London was where we started and where we’ll end. I captured our fifth and sixth days here (London Day FiveLondon Day Six). What an incredible past four weeks it’s been.

Article of the Week

The Coming Great Conflict by Ray Dalio is a chilling, hit-you-in-the-face article. Dalio talks about “the rises and declines of domestic and world orders over the last 500 years” where he “chronicled the six stages of the ‘big internal order cycle,’ their symptoms, and the cause-effect relationships that drive them.”

One of the main takeaways for me was Dalio’s position that we’re currently in “Stage Five (the pre-civil war stage) and Stage Six (the civil war stage that he believes we are on the brink of) of the internal order cycle.” After reading the article, I agree with Dalio.

Book of the Week

Ballistic (Gray Man) by Mark Greaney is the third book in the Gray Man series that follows the main character Court Gentry aka the Gray Man who “was betrayed by his compatriots and forced to take on a near-suicidal covert mission by the CIA.”

Gentry, living in refuge in the Amazon rain forest, has his bloody past come back to haunt him “when a vengeful Russian crime lord forces him to go on the run once again. Court makes his way to one of the only men in the world he can trust—and arrives too late. His friend is dead and buried.”
