In terms of business class flights from the US, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better option than Qatar QSuites. One could argue that the ANA business class “The Room” is better. However, you are likely splitting hairs at this point as both business class products should offer an incredible experience.
Qatar Airways is a member of the Oneworld Alliance. So, the primary ways to book QSuites include using airline miles from Oneworld Alliance partners to book QSuites. These partners include American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Qantas, and Qatar Airways.

How to Book QSuites with Points
- American Airlines – 70,000 miles
- British Airways – 108,250+ miles
- Cathay Pacific – 90,000 miles
- Qantas – 104,500+ miles
- Qatar – 70,000 miles
With Qatar Airways positively revamping its award program, both American Airlines and Qatar Airways are ideal options for booking QSuites. Both require 70,000 miles one-way, so it comes down to whether you want to earn American miles via Marriott/co-branded American cards or Qatar miles via Citi/Marriott cards.
If you’re flying beyond Doha to Africa, the Indian Subcontinent, and the Middle East, you need 70,000 miles, 70,000 miles, and 75,000 miles respectively. For flights to Asia, 95,000 Qatar miles is likely going to be your best option as American will charge you to book an award flight between the US and the Middle East plus the Middle East and Asia.

Conclusion on QSuites
After reading reviews and chatting with award travelers who’ve flown QSuites, you’d be hard-pressed to find a downside. From everything I can tell without actually flying this product itself, it’s first-class for the price of business class.
