While Frisco Colorado travel may not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of Colorado, maybe it should be.

For travelers who are into the outdoors, Frisco Colorado travel has it all. From hiking to biking to boating, there enough are activities to keep any traveler occupied. Not only is the city great to explore in the winter, but it can be argued that visiting during the summertime is even better. Best Things to Do in Frisco

Frisco is known for its outdoor activities. Whether you visit in the winter or summer, there’s always something to do. We visited during the summer so below are ideas for an itinerary.

Day 1 in Frisco CO: Hiking and Keystone

Our first stop was a hike at Lower Cataract Lake. The mountain views here were worth the trek. The hike will take you 2-3 hours depending on your pace. One item to note is that you will lose cell service on the way out to Lower Cataract Lake. So, downloading your route to view in offline mode is key.

After finishing our hike, we drove to Keystone. The town has activities for kids and is a great spot to kick back and relax. We had lunch and drinks at the base of the mountain. Our day ended by grilling out and having wine back at the house.

Day 2 in Frisco CO: Breckenridge and Dillon Reservoir

The second day took us to Breckenridge. We rented bikes at Christy’s Sports in Frisco and made the hour ride to Breckenridge. As you can see in my Frisco Colorado travel guide vlog, the views are incredible!

Pro Tip: You can rent bikes in Frisco and drop them off in Breckenridge. Christy’s has locations in both towns. Just give the rental people a heads up and you’re good to go!

After arriving in Breckenridge, we ate lunch at Breckenridge Brewery and then polished that off with a cookie from Mountain Top Cookie. We then drove to Dillon Reservoir and hopped on the pontoon boat we rented from Frisco Bay Marina. The weather was perfect.

We cruised around the lake for most of the afternoon and had drinks at Pug Ryan’s Tiki Bar. The bar was a great way to break up time on the boat, take a bathroom break, and soak in the views.

The night ended at Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant for dinner. If you’re in the mood for Mexican, give this place a try.

Day 3 in Frisco CO: Golf and Vail

We started our third day at Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks. After we finished our round, we drove to Vail for lunch at Up the Creek. We then tried to take the gondola to the top but decided not to after hearing about the price. Pro tip: After 5 pm, take the Eagle Bahn Gondola (15 min bus ride from Vail) to the top. It was amazing!

When you get to the top of the mountain, you can see for miles in every direction. Having only seen an all-white landscape during ski season, it is interesting to see so much green. I recommend riding the gondola up to the top at the twilight rate. The night ended with pizza at Whole Foods in Frisco followed by wine and games.

Day 4 in Frisco CO

On our fourth day we opted to stay closer to where we were staying. Frisco is not as big of a town as Vail but there’s plenty to do. We started off the day with breakfast at Butterhorn Bakery & Cafe and then walked to the Frisco Bay Marina.

After a slow-paced afternoon, we grabbed drinks at Tavern West. We ate dinner at 5th Avenue Grille (do not recommend it). Instead, have dinner at Tavern West.
