In this Frequent Flyer post, I share Amazon Books I Purchased, Frequent Flyer Articles I Read, Recent Points With Q Posts, Shows and Movies I Discovered, Music and Podcasts I Listened To, and Wine I Enjoyed.

As part of our current trip, we used Marriott points to stay at the Elyton Hotel, Autograph Collection, and The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection last week. This week, we used Hyatt points to stay at the Hyatt Place Sandestin/At Grand Boulevard.

Amazon Books I Purchased

I was excited to read Mayflower: Voyage, Community, War. However, I put this book down after 100 pages or so. It simply didn’t do it for me. Now, I’m reading 10% Happier Revised Edition: How I Tamed the Voice in My Head, Reduced Stress Without Losing My Edge, and Found Self-Help That Actually Works. This is exactly the type of book I need right now.

Shows and Movies I Watched

We continued watching Somebody Feed Phil this week. This shows is simply fantastic! Cape Town, Copenhagen, Buenos Aires, Dublin, and Venice are outstanding episodes.

Music and Podcasts I Listened To

The Joel Dahmen Interview is simply hilarious. Even if you’re not a golfer, listen to this podcast. I’m currently listening to Joe Rogan’s #783 – John Dudley. This episode goes deep on learning. In particular, learning archery. Here’s the show description “John Dudley is a pro archer and host of “Nock On TV.”

Wine I Enjoyed

Broadbent Branco 2008 is a Vinho Verde from Portugal. This is an affordable Portuguese wine that reminds me of our time in the Duoro Valley Portugal.

Points Hotel I Booked

We stayed at the Hyatt Place Sandestin/At Grand Boulevard and enjoyed this hotel. It’s a category 3 property that you can book with 12,000 Hyatt points per night. The hotel is not on the beach, however, it’s the only Hyatt property in the area.
