History and Energy were the two themes for last month’s Best Books on Amazon reading list. Lords of Finance: The Bankers Who Broke the World, Superpower: One Man’s Quest to Transform American Energy, and
The Grid: The Fraying Wires Between Americans and Our Energy Future were the books I read.
Superpower: One Man’s Quest to Transform American Energy was the book I liked the most. I’m biased because I work in renewables. However, the author does a fantastic job telling this story. Superpower: One Man’s Quest to Transform American Energy is also the book that I can put into practice immediately. Again, this is due to the fact that I work in renewables.

While Skelly ultimately came up short with Clean Line Energy, his company paved the way for the growth of transmission projects connecting the US grid.

The Grid: The Fraying Wires Between Americans and Our Energy Future
In The Grid: The Fraying Wires Between Americans and Our Energy Future, Gretchen Bakke, offers a history of the US power grid.
