Yet another perk is available on the Amex Platinum Card in the form of new Amex Platinum Benefits. This time American Express is adding Walmart+ and SoulCycle as credits that members receive when making qualifying purchases. These new credits join the existing credits on the Amex Platinum Card that include a digital entertainment credit, Equinox credit, Saks credit, airline incidentals credit, Uber credit, CLEAR credit, and Global Entry/TSA Pre✓ credit.
When you look at these credits, the SoulCycle credit makes a ton of sense. The Amex Platinum Card already offers $300 in annual Equinox statement credits and Equinox owns SoulCycle. On the flip side, the Walmart+ membership credit is a bit underwhelming. A more flexible credit, like an Instacart credit, would help cardmembers not be locked into ordering groceries from one vendor. Amex Platinum Benefits Walmart+ Membership
Amex Platinum cardmembers now receive a $12.95/month statement credit when using their card to purchase a Walmart+ monthly membership. This membership offers members unlimited free shipping with no order minimums and free delivery.
As a point of comparison, Instacart charges $3.99 on orders of $35 or more. Additional fees apply to one-hour deliveries, club store deliveries, and deliveries under $35. Similarly, Whole Foods orders through Amazon will soon incur a $9.95 per order delivery fee.
Amex Platinum Benefits SoulCycle Bike
In addition to the Walmart+ credits, the Amex Platinum Card now offers an additional $300 statement credit when you purchase a SoulCycle at-home bike through Equinox+. Cardmembers are limited to 15, $300 credits per calendar year. Said another way, the amount of statement credits you can receive is quite high.
In the summer of 2021, American Express added an annual $300 Equinox credit broken down in the form of $25/month in credits. These credits post to your card when making Equinox Fitness Club memberships or a digital membership to Equinox+ purchases.

Not only does the Amex Platinum Card offer Walmart+ and SoulCycle credits, but cardmembers also receive the following benefits:

- $240 digital entertainment credit ($20/month) for Peacock, Audible, SiriusXM and The New York Times purchases.
- $300 annual Equinox statement credits ($25/month) for Equinox Fitness Club monthly membership fees or a digital membership to Equinox+ purchases.
- $100 annual Saks statement credits ($50 credit January-June, $50 credit July-Decebmer) for Saks Fifth Avenue in-store or saks.com puerchases.
- Global Dining Access by Resy gives cardmembesr access to Global Dining Access program, which offers acess to sought-after restaurants reservations and premium events.
Travel Benefits
- 5x points earned on prepaid hotels booked through AmexTravel.com, and 5x points on airfare booked directly with the airline or AmexTravel.com
- $200 annual hotel creditfor prepaid bookings at Fine Hotels + Resorts or The Hotel Collection made through American Express Travel
- $200 annual airline fee credit that covers incidental fees at one qualifying airline
- $179 annual CLEAR credit which offers members expedited security screening at select US airports and stadiums
- $200 annual Uber credit ($15/month, $20 in December) towards US Uber Rides or Uber Eats
- $100 statement credit every 4-5 years for Global Entry or up to a $85 Statement Credit for TSA Pre✓
- Fine Hotels + Resorts benefits when boking reservations at select hotels
- Access to the American Express Global Lounge Collection, which includes the American Express Centurior Lounges
