Going Green with Amex Business: A Comprehensive Review of the Business Green Card

Amex Business Green Card is one of a handful of business credit cards offered by American Express. Other American Express business credit cards that earn Membership Rewards points include Amex Business Platinum Card, Amex Blue Business Plus Card, and Amex Business Gold Card.

Of the American Express business credit cards that earn Membership Rewards points, the Amex Business Green Card is the weakest of all of the cards. Here’s why. The card comes with relatively few credit card benefits, no statement credits, and a weak earning structure in one travel category.

By enrolling your card with a participating Amex Offers merchant, you can receive discounts or earn additional Membership Rewards points after making a purchase with a participating merchant.

No preset spending limit means the amount you can spend on the card is flexible. Unlike credit cards with a card limit, the amount you can spend on the card adjusts based on your credit, payment, and purchase history over time.

Baggage insurance coverage kicks in if two things happen. One, your entire trip (i.e. bus, plane, ship, or train) is purchased with your Amex Business Green Card. Two, when your bag is damaged, lost or stolen on the trip purchased with your card. Coverage is up to $1,250 for carry-on baggage and up to $500 for checked baggage. Other restrictions may apply.
