Nassau is a special place for Ashlee and I. It’s where we got married and also re-visited for our first wedding anniversary. In this best hotels in Bahamas post, I’ll highlight all of your points options to book a hotel in Bahamas.

It’s important to note that I have only stayed at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. If you can, I highly recommend that you stay at this hotel. From what I’ve read and based on personal experience, it’s one of the best Bahamas resorts. In addition, it’s great for families due to the number of things that you can do on the property.

Credit Cards to Use in the Bahamas

American Express, Chase, and Citi are three transferable point programs. Each offers credit cards with high earn rates in bonus categories. The programs also have credit cards for business owners to consider.

The American Express Gold and Chase Sapphire Reserve are the best cards to bring with you to the Bahamas. Gold cardmembers earn 4x points at restaurants and US grocery stores. You earn 3x points on dining and travel as a Reserve cardmember.

Other cards to consider bring with you are the American Express Green and Citi Premier. You earn 3x points on dining and travel with the Gold. Premier cardmembers earn 3x points on dining, gas stations, grocery stores, and travel.

Mr & Mrs Smith The Island House

Mr & Mrs Smith The Island House is a new IHG property not currently available to book with points. However, it’s one of these Bahamas resorts to put on your radar. Hotel guests have access to an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a pool, squash courts, a cafe/bar, a cinema, a wine shop, and a gym.

All Inclusive Resorts Bahamas

Not only can you book points hotels but there are all inclusive resorts Bahamas to check out. These include the Breezes Resort Bahamas, Hotel Riu Palace Paradise Island, and Warwick Paradise Island. While not my style nor an all inclusive resort, you can book a stay at the Sandals Royal Bahamian.
