New Things I’ve Discovered
Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (If You’re a Girl) is a documentary about Skateistan, a nonprofit skate school in Afghanistan. The school teaches girls to read, write, and skateboard.
The documentary Dirty Wars follows journalist Jeremy Scahill on his travels to Afghanistan, Yemen, and Somalia. Scahill uncovers the US militaries’ role in the cover-up of civilian deaths.
Clients commission Ra Paulette, a Cavedigger, to dig massive sandstone caves by hand in New Mexico as art. The documentary follows Paulette as he takes years to finish each project.
John Mulaney is one of my favorite comedians. He kills it in this Netflix special John Mulaney: New in Town.
